Baker County Medical Services, Inc., is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. The ideal candidate must have a Medical Technologist Florida License with a strong background in clinical laboratory procedures, staff management, Quality Assurance and Department Budgeting.

Essential Functions

• Provide medical laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic information, products, and services.
• Implement new programs, tests, methods, and instrumentation.
• Establish quality standards to maintain medical laboratory equipment performance.
• Maintain medical laboratory productivity by monitoring the workload of functional areas.
• Achieve quality results by participating in the hospital quality assurance program.
• Maintain medical laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Council and discipline employees as needed to achieve productivity and goals.
• Comply with state and professional continuing education licensure requirements
• Maintain annual budget and inventory
• Prepare monthly activity reports reflecting work volume, procedures, and output results.
• Foster constructive relationships within the laboratory and with other departments.
• Conduct competency assessments and performance appraisals.

Professional Requirements.

• Minimum 2 years proven experience in a leadership role within a high complexity hospital lab setting
• Florida MT license required.
• ASCP/AAB MT Certification
