Baker County Medical Services (BCMS) is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Paramedic to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing supportive patient care to the ED patients under the direct supervision of the RN or physicians.

Duties:
– Register patients promptly and accurately upon arrival to the emergency department.
– Perform patient triage and ensure timely processing of necessary paperwork.
– Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and maintain accurate records.
– Assist with ECG set up and monitoring- Transport patients as necessary.

– Assist with moving, ambulating and lifting patients.- Record I & O, collect specimens
– Administer injections and perform venipuncture as needed.
– Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) for patient care.

Experience:
– Prior experience working in an emergency room or similar fast-paced healthcare environment is highly preferred.
– Proficiency in patient registration procedures, including insurance verification and demographic data entry.
– Strong understanding of physical examinations and ability to assist medical personnel during emergencies.
– Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for maintaining patient information.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients in stressful situations.
