High-Quality Primary Care in Macclenny
At Dopson Family Medical Center, it’s our mission to provide big-city resources for our patients in a small-town hospital.
Apart from a friendly, welcoming staff who know your name, we think there are a TON of advantages to hometown medical care. Especially when we can offer many of the same services as our urban counterparts. Let’s take a look at how we can help you!
Primary Care Physicians
First up, Primary Care. This is your typical visit to the doctor. A checkup, yearly physical, your day-to-day care and first point-of-contact for specialty care can be done right here. We have exceptional physicians, who are compassionate and professional, to provide a number of advanced health care services. These folks have you covered, and they’re right down the street, in an office with plenty of parking, at 159 North 3rd street in Macclenny.
A lot of the specialty healthcare services you would think require a trip into a big city can actually be done in right here in Macclenny! What do we mean by “specialty care?” Well, our services our pretty extensive, and cover everything from Cardiology (heart health) to Orthopedics (for your bones!) and Podiatry (that’s foot care) and Women’s Health Services. We have the state-of-the-art technology and licensed professionals required to cover not just your checkups and lab work, but the specialty stuff, too.
Lab work is a common thing for so many Americans, from routine checkups to aging and dealing with chronic conditions — people need their lab work done, and done so quickly. Dopson Family Medical Center is next door to Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital which features a full-service lab with state-of-the-art equipment and highly qualified personnel. It’s the same qualifications you’d see in labs in big cities, but the benefit here is that there is little to no wait time to have your lab work done. Get in, get out, and have paper copies of all your test results sent directly to your physician.
If you want an alternative to the ER, with lower cost and quicker wait times, come to the Baker Rural Health Clinic at 155 North 3rd Street in Macclenny, right next to Dopson Family Medical Center. They also provide compassionate care on a sliding pay scale if you’re uninsured.
