Essential Functions
- Perform routine cleaning of the patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
- Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Assist visitors with directions whenever requested.
- Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors.
- Report safety hazards as appropriate.
- Observe safety precautions at all times.
- Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
- Replenish supplies.
- Follow all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.
- Maintain set quality standards when performing job duties.
- Work day, evening or night shifts as assigned.
- Use and maintain equipment properly.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objective.
Non-Essential Functions
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Complete annual education requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wear identification while on duty.
- Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
- Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.
